UAE's Edge buys majority stake in Estonia's Milrem Robotics

UAE-based defense conglomerate EDGE Group acquires a majority stake in Estonia-based Milrem Robotics. The acquisition comes as Milrem seeks to expand its autonomous systems and robotics capabilities, consistent with the UAE’s manufacturing sector goals.

EDGE will now share majority control of Milrem with shareholders including German-based defense company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, among others. The investment will allow Milrem to continue its work on uncrewed combat vehicles and autonomous systems, now with footholds in new markets.
