Denmark Begins Procurement Process To Deliver New Capabilities For Arctic Operations

Denmark is beginning the process of procuring systems to increase its land, air, and sea presence and surveillance in the Arctic.

The Danish Royal Navy’s procurement arm has issued a tender for medium-altitude, long-endurance uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) to provide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. Joint Arctic Command Denmark (JACO) is also being certified as a test and evaluation center in the region for new surveillance technologies. These new efforts reflect a broader move toward digital transformation across the Danish armed forces.
