German Industry Wins Contract Under the Future Combat Air System Programme
Published on February 8, 2023
A consortium of German companies - including HENSOLDT Sensors, Diehl Defence, and Rohde & Schwarz, among others - are selected to develop core elements of the Future Combat Air System’s (FCAS) sensor network.
FCAS, a collaborative European initiative to develop next-generation aircraft, will require a thoroughly networked mission system with high-end sensors and AI-based data analytics. The German consortium will work on platform-independent solutions for networked sensor systems. Companies will be tasked with specific work aimed at developing systems enabling data links between air and ground units.
