Ukraine war fuels Europe's MilitaryTech and DefenseTech startups

European startups are receiving increased attention for their role in producing innovative military technology since the onset of the Russo-Ukraine war. Several venture capital companies are notably making the connection between their work with emerging technologies like AI and the course of modern warfare.

French-based Bfore.AI, German-based Quantum Systems, and Portugal-based Hala Systems, to name a few, are raising millions of euros in investments for AI-enabled military technologies. Their respective projects include, among others, uncrewed aerial systems like drones, robotics, and predictive intelligence.
