General Atomics’ air-launched ‘Eaglet’ gets its wings

An uncrewed aerial system (UAS) developed by General Atomics Aeronatural Systems, known as the Eaglet, has been demonstrated in a test flight.

The Eaglet demonstration, launching from the air, is an advancement in human-machine teaming for command and control capabilities. A number of high-profile industry actors - including Raytheon, L3Technologies, and Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, among others - are investing in such air-launched systems. Further advancements are expected in 2023.
