
BigBear.ai completes $250 million acquisition of Ask Sage
BigBear.ai (NYSE: BBAI) completed its $250 million cash acquisition of Ask Sage, a generative artificial intelligence platform designed for secure deployment in defense and intelligence environments.
The McLean, Virginia-based company announced the transaction follows a previously disclosed definitive agreement. Ask Sage currently serves more than 100,000 users across 16,000 government teams and hundreds of commercial organizations.
"Completing the acquisition of Ask Sage marks a significant milestone for BigBear.ai and accelerates our vision of delivering mission-ready AI that customers can deploy with confidence," said Kevin McAleenan, CEO of BigBear.ai.
Ask Sage provides generative AI capabilities designed to operate within security and compliance frameworks required by government and regulated commercial markets. The platform offers data sovereignty, model governance, and security controls for organizations deploying AI systems.
